Daniels was in character mode most of the time, but Kaz was serious:

Christopher Daniels & Kazarian were recently on the Running The Ropes podcast to chat about a few TNA related topics.

On the Open Fight Night concept:
Kaz: "I think it's a cool concept. Pro wrestling and episodic wrestling in general is constantly evolving and sometimes the status quo doesn't always continue to work. TNA Impact Wrestling and Hulk Hogan brought up this new concept of Open Fight Night, and I thought the first one was a success."

Daniels: "I will say that I'm a little disappointed. After Joe and Magnus defended their titles against Ken Anderson and Jeff Hardy, Frankie and I went down to ringside to challenge them for a tag title match. We put the stomping on them and I put the heel of my shoe in Joe's nose, but for some reason that wasn't the match. We challenged them and they weren't ready to wrestle us. So that's why we're going to get our chance at Sacrifice to take the tag titles from them."

On a potential return to the X Division:
Kaz: "For me, it's kind of a 'been there, done that' situation. I've held the [X Division] belt four times. If I'm offered a title match rest assured I'm going to take it, but I definitely want to move on to bigger and better things - first and foremost the tag team titles."

Daniels: "Exactly. We're the top tag team in Impact Wrestling right now. We're not going to slide our focus going for a championship either one of us can win on any given day. Austin Aries is a great champion, there's no doubt about that. He calls himself the greatest man that ever lived. But the truth of the matter is that there are two great men here right now."

On their preference for other venues away from the Impact Zone:
Kaz: "The Impact Zone has been our home for eight years. It's a cool place to call home, but I think I speak for Christopher as well that we're kind of the road warriors of the crew. We love being out on the road and going to different towns and coming back to different towns. We both cut our teeth on the indy circuit traveling all around the country and the world. We both kind of dig it."

Daniels: "The only way we're going to broaden the horizon that is Impact Wrestling is to visit all the towns that want to see us. The list of places we're running live events now has grown exponentially. We're going out to different parts of the country, and every weekend we're showing everybody that Impact Wrestling is the best wrestling company in the United States and the world today."

On their favorite singles and tag team opponents in TNA:
Kaz: "I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Big Three - AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe. Also one of my favorite matches was against Christian Cage, who is one of the best wrestlers in the world. As far as the tag teams, anytime I get in the ring with the Motor City Machine Guns, it's a fun and physically challenging match."

Daniels: "I have had a lot of tag team success with different partners like AJ Styles and Elix Skipper, although they both pale in comparison to my friend Frankie Kazarian. When I did wrestle with those two guys as my partners, our best matches were against America's Most Wanted. As far as a singles competitor, this company was built on the match with AJ, Joe and myself from Unbreakable 2005. You can talk about all the other people you want, but it always comes back to that particular match as the cornerstone of this company."

On their perspective of the top performers in TNA history:

Kaz: "I'm going to go with guys that have come in and helped out from not only an in-ring perspective but also being a veteran and locker room leader. I would say Team 3D and Kurt Angle. Those guys have been very helpful and willing to share their knowledge in the business. As far as top competitors, I'm going back to the same guys I mentioned like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe."

Daniels: "I think the top guys that have come from the bottom up in this company are AJ and Joe. They have definitely set the standard in terms of Impact Wrestling. Whenever you have someone coming into this company from other companies, the first two guys they usually have to step up against to prove their mettle are AJ and Joe. So you have to give the proper amount of respect to those two gentlemen in that regard."

Daniels is on a role since turning heel last year. Magnificent work which was even praised by the upper managment. One of the goat heels right now in TNA with Bully and Bobby.
