Check briefly this guy's story then watch the match:

http://www.impactwrestling.com/news/item/3874-A-Look-At-This-Week-s-Gut-Check-Contestant,-Christian-York

Alex Silva - you are good. Sam Shaw - you're good. Tealer Hendrix - you are decent. But Christian York.... :obama:

This guy's got everything what it takes to succeed and I'll rage quit on TNA officials if they don't sign him.

So I expect at least two  's next week when Snow, Pritchard and Taz deliberate on him.

Discuss.

He was awesome I thought. I imagine he'll still have a good few years doing all the athletic stuff he's doing just now, and further down the line he should be able to adapt to a more power based style since he's bulked up quite a lot.

Indeed, I really enjoyed his match, he's in great shape and entertained me. I hope they sign him.

This got me thinking... I haven't heard for Christian York until last week, and I'm an Indy wrestling mark. That brings me to question: is there on indys (non DVD and iPPVs companies like ROH, DGUSA, EVOLVE) some more great, but hidden talent like York that's just waiting for an opportunity to pop out? There must be.

I'm sure there is, however the guy never really settled anywhere and didn't wrestle at all between '03-Early '06.

York returned to the business to wrestle for Maryland Championship Wrestling.
On December 18, 2006, York faced "Bone Crusher" Fred Sampson in the opening match for World Wrestling Entertainment's (formerly the WWF) Raw at the Verizon Center in Washington DC. Starting in May 2007, York started working dark matches for World Wrestling Entertainment. York also wrestled The Miz on SmackDown and Chuck Palumbo and Carlito on WWE Heat. He was then asked to report to Louisville, Kentucky's Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), to form a team with Johnny Jeter. York reported to OVW in September 2007, although still not under contract with WWE.[2]
On September 29, 2007 in Berwyn, Illinois York reuniting with Joey Mercury, in a losing effort against the AAW Tag Team Champions, The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley).[3]

On the December 26, 2007 edition of Maryland Championship Wrestling's Season's Beatings event, York won a number one contendership tag team match with his former tag team partner and then MCW Heavyweight Champion, Joey Matthews after they defeated Tom Brandi and Adam Flash of the Creative Control stable. York later defeated Matthews to win his first MCW Heavyweight Championship.

On November 5, 2010, Christian York defeated Robert Roma to become the new SCWA Mindshock Television champion

On November 1, 2012, York appeared on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's (TNA) Impact Wrestling program, losing to Zema Ion in a TNA Gut Check match.

As soon as I saw him I knew he would be amazing. Seemed he had really minor mistakes during the match but nothing too big.

He also has that legit badass look and a great wrestling background and story.

It really is amazing. I support Gutcheck since day one, but this is the 1st time since Gutcheck started that I really root and mark for someone to get signed.

One could argue that guys like Jigsaw, Ricochet, Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano are guys just waiting for that chance to pop up on the big stages. Gargano was reportedly on WWE's radar earlier in the year but declined a developmental contract to finish up at least one year as Open the Freedom Gate champion but left negotiations on good terms. EITA is also one of those big young guys just waiting to make it.

Yeah I agree, but I said on NON DVD or IPPV companies, and those are those kinda companies.

I was using the example of York as someone who wasn't in DGUSA/Evolve/Chikara/PWG but still is awesome.
