What did everyone think of their segment last night on Smackdown? Do you think it has any potential if it does indeed form into a legit feud? What do you think this means for Christian? Anything big or just another random push that will lead to nowhere?

I actually really enjoyed the segment and I thought they had good chemistry together. It didn't seem like it was just some random, awkward pairing. It was more interesting to me than Christian vs Drew McIntyre. Alberto's awful promos made me iffy about him, just because they were boring and stupid and I barely understood what he was talking about half the time, but his first match was very impressive and he has grown on me rather quickly. He's good on the mic and good in the ring.

On a side note, hilarious JBL comments made by Christian. I'm glad the WWE can poke fun at how they just basically ripped him off.

So what do you guys think will become of this?

I liked the segment.

I thought that it was great how WWE was treating Christian as a top babyface. I like how they also kept Christian in his feud with McIntyre. I hope that we see a Christian vs. Alberto match next week because the match sounds really great (Unlike the stuff on Superstars, Right Allen?). I was shocked how Christian mentioned JBL because I thought it would have been one of those "Ssh. Don't mention the similarity" comments that Vince would die if it was said.

Overall, I thought they had some great chemistry and I loved the segment. I hope the two battle next week.

I honestly really liked the segment. I am honestly liking Del Rio's character, even though it is a blatant ripoff of JBL. Christian, regardless of him basically becoming another Matt Hardy can still put on some good matches and I think a Del Rio/Christian feud could be a good feud. The segment they had was pretty good, and one of the highlights of an otherwise lackluster Smackdown.

I also laughed my ass of at the JBL line and even was a bit shocked when he said 'ass' on TV lol.

But, does anyone else find it a bit strange that Christian is kind of turning into Mr. I am going to avenge my injuried friend's loss!! WIth what he has been doing, first Drew and now Del Rio? I like that Christian is atleast doing something, but this is kinda laughable.

I think that Christian is exactly him. I like him in this storyline because it gave him a chance to wrestle and have a promo with someone he wouldn't normally wrestle with (He's wrestled Drew and Cody for weeks) and it would be lovely if the two could have a feud until Mysterio returns. I'm liking how WWE used Christian on Smackdown as it was a great way to feature such a talented wrestler on a broadcast. Christian is a good strong worker so it will be interesting to see what type of match they could put on.

To me, that segment felt like a main event fued. Del Rio is already getting tons of heat, and seems to have the "IT" factor. He reminds me a lot of Eddy Guererro. The WWE is putting a lot of stock behind Del Rio, and i see why. Everything from his look to his entrance is well done. If the WWE wanted they could have Christian be a main eventer, however they are looking to push the younger guys. It's too bad Christian is likely being thrown at Del Rio, soley to get Del Rio over, and set up Del Rio vs. Mysterio when he returns from Injury.

But i'd like to see where this goes. I'd like it to be a longer fued. I think these two guys worked great together.

The reason why WWE is making his gimmick and appearance so godly is solely because they want a spanish heel. I dislike the spanish face gimmicks but I actually really like the heel gimmick Alberto currently has. The only flaw in his gimmick is his constant smiling which could appear to the audience who haven't seen his debut as a face guy who is beating someone up because they are the heel. I don't mind the smiling but when he does it obsessively, It becomes annoying and needless.

As for Christian being shoved back down the line, I can't help but disagree. I think Christian is still being seen as a high-mid-carder even though he's facing Alberto. He didn't come off as a main eventer on Smackdown but he did come off as a good wrestler (Hell, Being attacked by Alberto and Drew then pinning Drew is pretty impressive).

^^^^Oh, prey do tell.... What are these "spannish face gimmicks" you speak of?

.....And re: his smile: If anyone has trouble concluding that he is a heel given his actions then they really should just give up on watching wrestling as a show designed for 5 year olds is pressumably too complex for them.

Anyway.... Should be a nice fued should they roll with it, but make NO mistake about it, Peeps of IWF.... Ultimately, Christian is doing the job.

I have come to grips with Christian becoming the next Matt Hardy (jobbing to make the up and comers look good) even as a huge fan of Christian I have realized that he is NEVER getting that push that we all want to see him get. But hell, atleast he is helping the WWE prepare for the future, which is imo a sign of his professionalism.
