Chris Jericho wanted to share the ring with CM Punk again.

Jericho and CM Punk faced off multiple times during their time together in WWE. They memorably clashed at WWE WrestleMania 28, where Punk beat Jericho to retain the WWE Championship.

Once Punk came to AEW, many fans hoped to see the two stars reignite their rivalry. However, they never got a chance to do so. Punk missed several months following a backstage incident with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks in 2022. He returned to the company in June 2023, but AEW terminated Punk's contract following his involvement in a backstage incident at AEW All In. Punk then returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series 2023.

On Twitter/X, a fan noted that they wished one more match between Jericho and Punk in AEW. Jericho responded by saying that he did too.

An older Jericho/Punk match could have been good as long as they didnt rehash the whole Punk doesnt drink storyline.
