Chris Jericho is the man, idk if he's underrated, but he's sure as hell not overrated. Everyone is aware of how good he is, and he is used perfectly on WWE.

As far as his credentials go, his independent titles really don't have much credit, only his WWE, WCW, and ECW titles matter.

screw the titles, the guy is by far the best in the world at what he does today.

hbk doesn't count....he doesn't really do anything anymore

Ain't that the truth, HBK can't even wrestle a singles match anymore, he has wrestled one, if any, since he came back with DX. He is royally screwed up, he can't carry himself in a one on one match anymore.

Like I said, the tag team matches he has been in are far more demanding that a one on one match. Breaking Point was basically a pair of singles matches between Rhodes/HBK and Ted/HHH, and he wrestled HIAC by himself.

ROFL, SO THE FUCKING TRUTH. Craziest thing EVER was I was JUST about to make this thread. "I AM THE BEST AT WHAT I DO" has been in my head for the past weeks, lmao, most epic saying ever. It reminds me of Stone Cold, when he use to say "MY NAME IS STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN AND I DO NOT DESERVE THIS." Seriously, this man IS the greatest in the world today, and it's sad when people like CenaMark try to say he's a glorified midcarder when he has more talent in his fucking hair than John Cena does in his entire overly muscled up body. Hearing Chris Jericho talk is like the second coming of christ, why is this guy not champion and losing to everyone in this shitty ass company. HBK is good, but even his great heel run would fail in comparison to the intricate behavior and evolution of Jericho's. He is by far the most underrated wrestler by the casual fan, whereas we all here know how good he is, at least the announcers praise him well.

If you don't believe it, just ask yourself who could took like Jericho? No one, it's literally the hardest thing to do because he's a fucking genius, just like no one could talk like The Rock. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090718144309AAYwicJ

Jericho needs his own soundboard like Edge has on wwe.com. I cringe whenever he says "parasites"

How in the heck is Jericho underrated? lol. The man is widely considered among many over the age of 12 to be the greatest wrestler going right now. (I rebuttal that claim with a Kurt Angle but whatevs) Underrated by creative? Perhaps. But that's not very convincing either considering they've given him I think, 2-3 world title runs since returning? And currently being the unified tag team champion with Big Show and being used pretty much as THE catalyst for pushing younger stars right now.

I actually see him as one of the main vocal points on BOTH main brand shows. That's impressive, and hardly underrated imho.

Jericho is not in HBK's league.

Jericho has been very good when it comes to making the guys who actually draw look great. I won;t take that away from him.

However, he has never proven to be able to carry the company on his own.

Vince McMahon himself has said that making Jericho the 1st undisputed world champion was the worst mistake he ever made. (And Vince has made tons of really bad mistakes). With that, Jericho was given a chance to become an all time great and he just couldn't run with it. That alone proves that he is not underrated. He was given the biggest push possible and his reign made Orton;s first title reign actually look good in comparison.

Where'd he (Vince) say that, btw? Can't recall. And wasn't he pretty much carrying SD when he was given that title run?

I forgot, how do you "win" a title in wrestling again? :paperbag3:

Just a question, when was the last time Jericho won a match?

That's the thing, he's so great he doesn't need to win. Jericho is great no matter what he does. Win or lose, he will continue to elevate his career on the mic bragging or bitching about his matches, he will never suck. He is in the perfect spot.
