Among other things.

WWE wrestler Chris Jericho says WWE wouldn't be able to pull off a brand split if they started it in 2009 because they don't have enough stars to fill two separate rosters.

WWE created the Raw and Smackdown brands in 2002 when the company had two complete rosters of top stars following the acquisitions of WCW and ECW in 2001.

"I think it was a better idea then than it is now," Chris Jericho told Kenai Andrews of Slam Wrestling in an interview. "There was a lot more talent when they did the brand extension."

Now a veteran on the roster, Jericho said he's scouting young talent to see who will be the next top stars. He said some wrestlers "get it" while others need to improve.

"We have some young guys that are ready to grasp it and there are other guys that aren't," he said. "They're going to have to speed up the process a bit."

Jericho singled out John Morrison, Dolph Ziggler, Cryme Tyme, Legacy, Evan Bourne, and Sheamus as young talent on the verge of stardom. He singled out Jack Swagger, The Miz, and Kofi Kingston as three young wrestlers who "are going to have to start becoming more of a presence."

Jericho said it will take time for some of the wrestlers he mentioned to be more consistent as they build toward being stars for WWE. He said some guys just don't have the ability yet, but he hopes WWE will continue to push them in order to replace the current generation of top stars down the road.

"So now is the time, we need these guys to step up and the thing is too, is you say step up, step up, step up, but some guys just aren't capable; they're not ready because they don't have the experience yet," Jericho said. "But as long they are improving every week, and those are guys that I kind of see as being the next wave of the company, when my generation of guys is retired or not at the same level as we are now."

I honestly believe in terms of potential star power, RAW's mid-card shits SD's. MVP, Swagger, Bourne, Kingston, Miz, Carlito, Primo, get rid of this guest host crap, put some focus on these guys and push them up the ladder. Jericho seems to no his shit WWE, LISTEN TO THE MAN!!!

Jericho have always sounded like a smart wrestling mind. I forsee a behind the scenes role when he retires.

I like to see him put over a young guy clean though. Many veterans talk about pushing young guys but when it comes for someone to take their spot, they're unwilling to give it up.

Jericho is at the point where a feud with him is just as much of a rub for younger guys as one with HBK or HHH.
I really think Jericho could be the one to put over guys like Morrison on the Smackdown side.
He's right about Swagger though, the guy was on fire while in ECW, but since coming to RAW really hasn't done much. Although you can't put the blame on the wrestlers. WWE has the hungriest mid-card they've had in a long long time and they're simply not giving them the airtime they need. Meanwhile Bob Barker, Super Cedric and Hornswoggle eat up 3/4 of the programming. It's sad.

Jericho put over freakin' JTG once so it's not like he's Trips or anything. But yeah, Swagger and Bourne were great on a real show then they went to FRawd and they fizzled pretty much. Too much time for contract signings, Hornswoggle, Price is Raw and "Are youuu readyyyyy!?!?" For those guys. Not to mention, walking out on title matches won't get anyone over. >_>

Jericho is totally right, there are young stars in the idustry that have the potential to be the top stars one day. I think if you get the a title shot they can win. WWE is only focusing on Randy Orton and John Cena. For example look at Cm Punk he was a young star just like Jack Swagger and Kofi Kingston and now he is a 5 time World Champoin and 2 time Money in the Bank. They should let the young star win the MTB. Plus they should stop focusing on The 6 timeor 7 time champs and focus on the 1 time champoins. Look at Jack Swagger he won the title in a few months. Give Mvp a title shot or something. I know Jericho is a piece of shit but he has a point.

^^^LOL crisis in Kayfaybe-world.

Yeah, you're right... He's not like HHH at all... Jericho is yet to build a single Main eventer (whilst HHH has had a major part, if not exclusively, in building Cena, Orton, Batista & Jeff Hardy.... Basically the biggest stars of the last 5 years.).... The most Y2Js done is a job for Cena on his way out of the company back in 2005.

Sorry, HTK, this is far from solely directed at you, but seriously don't you HHH-Haters eventually get embarrassed posting such rubbish all the time?

Moving on..

Jericho is the man. :y:
