Ok I'm starting to learn more about blending and filters so here was my latest try.

A few things I wanted to say first.

1. This was a hard background to work with text wise, therefore thats really why theres no text. But I didn't wanna abandon the project cause I like the background for everything that is Jericho.

2. I call this banner, the Stages of Jericho.

I like the idea of it bro, it suits Jericho well. I would not have changed the opacity of the three images as whats behind them is the same as the background so you wouldn't be losing anything. An improvement however to your previous efforts mate.

Thanks for the comment. I was thinking bout that as well, I was trying to blend but it I guess I would of been better suited maybe with a glow or something around them instead of changing the opacity. I also was kind of going off what a tut was telling me as I learned and worked on this.

Try using grandient maps or at least play with the contrast for a bit. Nice effort put in anyway. Try to use Photofiltre to blend renders a lot easier. When you are begining to do GFX, it helps you out a bit.

I got to look up some tuts about how to use gradient maps, and I played with the contrast some on the full opacity one on the middle Jericho cause he was kind of off from the other two. I;m still learning and its hard when I havent found too many in detail explanations just youtube videos quickly going through it.

That's awesome. I just want to learn how to make such awesome banners like everyone here and on a game I play called Torn. People are like oh your banners are crap blah blah blah.

It's not bad, but again, it's just PSDs on a background. You're going to have start working on blending pictures to get better.

Anyways, here is how you do a gradient on photoshop:
-Click on whatever layer you want the gradient on
-Then, either click on Layer>New Fill Layer>Gradient or Layer>New Adjustment Layer>Gradient Map
-Then just double click on the colors to change them around
-Then, you can play around with the settings (Normal, Soft Light, Screen, etc) on the gradient
