Jordan Mein has been on a tear of late, and it was only a matter of time before he got scooped up by a major organization. That organization turned out to be Strikeforce. MMA Junkie has it:

Top Canadian prospect Jordan Mein (22-7 MMA, 0-0 SF) is Strikeforce-bound.

http://mmajunkie.com/MMAJunkie.com has confirmed with sources close to the promotion that Mein has signed a four-fight deal with the organization and is expected to debut at an as-yet-unannounced Sept. 10 event.

Mein was nominated for best fighter of the first half of 2011 in the prestigious Bloody Elbow MMA Awards because of his 4-0 record in the first six months of 2011. The 21-year-old has defeated the likes of Joe Riggs, Josh Burkman, and Dream welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis so far this year, and is on a five-fight winning streak overall.

In the vein of UFC prospect Rory MacDonald, Mein started his amateur career at 14 and turned pro at 16. His first pro fight just happened to be against the aforementioned MacDonald, who was a grizzled veteran by then at 17 with two pro fights under his belt. Mein was submitted by MacDonald and ended up starting his career 3-4 overall. Since then though, he's gone 19-3 and has earned his place in the spotlight. His father Lee Mein is an active pro fighter as well who has faced the likes of Jeff Monson and Dan Severn in his 11 year career.
