I am assuming this is for comedy purposes but having never watched any wrestling in Japan I am not sure what the basis or motive for this is exactly.
I will say I would prefer to see this in the WWE over James Nochins any day. lol
The company that match is from is called DDT. They use a lot of comedy (mainly slapstick) to stand out. Yoshihiko (the blow up doll) is treated like a real wrestler during matches and is a cult figure within the company. It is very tongue in cheek. It's the Japanese equivalent of WWE's sports entertainment style in a lot of ways
They also have a belt similar to the old WWE hardcore title that operates under 24/7 rules for example. And the list of champions includes a monkey, a miniature dachshund, a ladder (that they held a retirement ceremony for this year when it got so old they could not use it anymore) and the actual belt itself.
Add in some very talented wrestlers and that DDT is one of the best storytelling companies out there and it is a very good watch if you click with the product.
