We go on and on about which wrestler draws, which wrestler doesn't and which wrestler might in the future, but what about tag-teams? Can tag-teams in this modern age draw more than any other? Can they be something you build the product around?

Putting this here since I know WWE would never even try it, but I think TNA has the potential to really rocket-push a tag-team and do it well (even though the tag-team division sucks atm).

If they as a unit contain all that which is needed to draw successfully then yes. The right amount of ring skills, charisma, mic skills, talent, likability and work ethic plus some more I am probably forgetting. It doesn't necessarily all have to be with one member but spread out among both members, like in any ideal tag team were the members make up for each others shortcomings. Prime example of that = the new age outlaws. Road Dogg wasn't that great in the ring so Gunn carried that part, to make up for that Dogg was a master on the stick and had charisma to share.

I guess so, but if the division is really really crappy it's very hard imo. But I don't see why not.

I'd say the biggest team in terms of overness ever was the Road Warriors back in the 80s. They drew huge everywhere they went, but I don't think they were ever in the ME of the show. As fun as tag teams can be, I think as humans we like to know who the best is. I believe it's primal instincts at work. Survival of the fittest and all that. Seeing one guy as the top dog lets our brain know he's the best. Tag teams don't fulfill that same emotion. So to answer the question at hand, no, I do not think a team could draw as well as a singles wrestler.

I personally thought Beer Money and MCMG was like that in '10

There stuff was very entertaining and I would usually tune in for it.
Can't say for everyone else though.

This is an interesting topic. I don't know that a tag team could main event a ppv though. The tag team would have to have two extremely talented athletes that could put their ego aside. The biggest struggle would be them wanting to venture out into singles competition. Another big factor is the fact they would need stiff compeition, without proper competition, I personally wouldn't be interested. At the end of the day, if the circumstances were right, Yes.

100 percent agree, I'd even add amw with Gail Kim to that, all those teams were arguably at least as much of a draw as the singles wrestlers

Well in the past a couple of them did at times. Like the Hardys and Dudleys in early 00s IMO.

But in recent times, I gotta agree with Beer Money and MCMG. 2010 was their year, everyone (literally) was one thier feet when it was announced, and if you haven't seen their Best of 5 series, you missed a whole lot.
