Now I was talking to Bonez about this earlier and it got me really thinking about something...why does everyone hate Bubba The Love Sponge? And more importantly...who is he? I'm obviously way behind here, but I thought he cut a pretty good heel promo for The Band, and although i'm pretty sure it's just Vickie heat, he hasn't really done anything on the show to warrant the hate going around, besides apparently being not a wrestler and just another one of Hogan's cronies.

So yeah, thoughts on "Bubba" and if you hate him, why?

He gets more TV time than people who need it. Hell, I'm pretty sure he got more time than AJ did last week and he's the champ. He doesn't need to be there. Backstage interviewer? Hemme and Borash have that job and do it a lot better. Spokesperson for The Band? All 3 of them still talk so his job is irrelevant. He has the Vicki effect where I want to turn the TV when he's on there Not to mention the ass thinks he equals ratings and gets the same reactions that Hogan did when he turned heel in WCW. That's not heel heat you're getting, that's get the fuck outa here heat. Fuck Bubba. The hate you have for Orlando Jordan = the hate I have Bubba + 6.

Oh yeah, and that. I mean, what he said was true. It was the way he said it that was extremely uncalled for. Add in what happened with, losing her and Alissa Flash, fuck him.

I hate him. I never knew who he was, but i guess he does a radio show. He just comes off as a prick. As much as i dont like him, i think he's a pretty good manager. He has the mic skills to draw heat.

Who doesn't get too much airtime that's associated with Hogan? How many people don't need to be there? It's obviously different because he's just some nobody who's friends with Hogan, but honestly, i'd rather have him out there than see one of Orlando's dumbass segments, or just about any of the OLD older guys wrestle or go on about some Russo crap that nobody cares about.

I don't understand why everyone acts like he's the worst thing on the show when he's pretty much inconsequential to anything, except he's already got more heat than everyone else, and being a dickhead for real.

But since he had something to do with Alissa Flash going, he must be destroyed. Plus, I thought it was pretty funny when Foley punched him.

I have no idea who he is or what roll he is playing. I completely don't see what he brings to The Band. I guess we'll find out.

Yeh I've just heard some rumours about him and backstage shit. He sounds like a prick in real life. Just one of those guys I will hate until he shows significant signs of changing.

Glad to see him get smacked in the face by Foley.

Bubba the Love Sponge is a hack Florida talk show host who named himself after a contraceptive sponge. He hated Howard Stern for years & would constantly mock him, until Howard hired him to be on his Sirius satellite radio channel Howard 101. I also remember him saying TNA sucks when a caller asked Hogan if he'd go there in an interview a year or two ago. Bubba will kiss the ass of anyone he had previously attacked if he is paid by them. Bubba also likes to challenge people to fights on-air & backs out of them when the other person accepts. What I've heard on his shows is that he tries to come off like he's an expert in MMA and Pro-wrestling, but sounds like he doesn't know shit & acting like a wannabe tough guy to callers. A few years back, Bubba's show is the place where Hogan claimed that MMA fights were a worked shoot. The guy just seems to be a complete bag of shit.

Him even being in TNA dictates (I think that's the word I'm looking for) that. Going from backstage interviewer, to complaining about not getting more time, to being manager of The Band, who's featured a lot, speaks other wise.

Hell when it comes down to it "The Band" shouldn't even be there either. No point in repeating everything that everyone else said (it's all true though) but the way I see it TNA traded Bubba for Awesome Kong, Allisa Flash, and JB (he's still with the company but I haven't seen him on since Bubba arrived).

Who the hell would trade two of their best Knockouts for this douche bag? Oh, right, Hogan and Bischoff. Does either of these guys even believe in women's wrestling? Besides a few matches with Madusa and some weird chick with green hair I don't remember WCW having a womens division.
