Bryan Danielson talks about his plans after becoming a part-time wrestler.
In an interview with Tokyo Sports, Danielson said that once he becomes a part-time wrestler, he plans to wrestle 5-10 matches a year. Back in September, he told Sports Illustrated that he plans on transitioning into a part-time wrestler sometime during this summer, possibly around August.
During the interview, Danielson said some wrestlers he'd like to face in NJPW include Hiroshi Tanahashi, El Desperado, Shingo Takagi, and Tomohiro Ishii.
Danielson is in Japan ahead of Thursday's Wrestle Kingdom 18 card, where he will face Kazuchika Okada in the co-main event. Their second match together came following their match last June at Forbidden Door, where Danielson submitted Okada despite breaking his arm during the match.
Later returning in the fall, Danielson proceeded to injure his eye, necessitating surgery for his orbital bone. However he only took a few weeks off before participating in AEW’s Continental Classic Tournament, losing to the eventual winner of the tournament Eddie Kingston in the Blue League semifinals.
