Britt Baker says CM Punk's return to wrestling is one of the most historical things to happen in AEW history.

Baker appeared on the Maggie and Perloff show on Friday and was asked about Punk's time in the company.

"CM Punk coming back to wrestling is one of the most historical things in All Elite Wrestling history and it always will be," Baker responded. "You can't take that out of the wrestling books."

"I'm really thankful that we got to work with CM Punk," she continued. "I've learned some stuff from him, he was always really helpful and willing to work with younger talent. It didn't work out, it wasn't a fit, but that's still always going to be part of the AEW story. It's just that chapter is closed for right now."

"I think everyone wishes him well, I would hope to think he wishes AEW well too. It just didn't work out but at the end of the day, how cool is it that CM Punk was in wrestling again for AEW? And got to wrestle in Chicago again too of all places."

Back in March during an interview with Barstool Rassilin', Baker described the All Out 2022 media scrum as "heartbreaking" and "embarrassing."

"That scrum was heartbreaking and it was embarrassing and it was disappointing," she said. "It just felt like, and for a moment in time, that this felt like very much a disaster and you never want that to happen."

Baker hasn't wrestled since being defeated by Kris Statlander in a TBS title match on the September 16 edition of AEW Collision. The match took place at the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Baker's alma mater, Penn State University.
