The ROH WINTER WARRIORS TOUR rolls on through January! On Friday, January 22nd, we make our long-awaited return to Asheville, NC area for a huge Ring of Honor live event. All of your favorite ROH stars will be there, alongside some international guests! ROH officials are excited to announce a FIRST-TIME, EVER match between a brand-new team and the greatest tag team in ROH history!
ALEX SHELLEY & #REBORN MATT SYDAL versus THE BRISCOES
After years of traveling and competing around the globe, ALEX SHELLEY and MATT SYDAL have gained a mutual respect for one another as two of the premier high flying mat technicians! Years after Sydal replaced Shelley in Generation Next, Shelley and Sydal formed a friendship through teaming in a six-man tag at FINAL BATTLE and are teaming in two-on-two competition for the VERY FIRST TIME in a tag team battle with the eight-time ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, THE BRISCOES!
JAY and MARK BRISCOE began 2016 with a victory in the Tokyo Dome at WRESTLEKINGDOM 10, becoming the inaugural NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions with Toru Yano! After focusing extensively in singles competition in 2015, Dem Boys have one goal in mind for 2016: ROH World Tag Team Championship number nine!
While Shelley and Sydal will want to take things to the skies, the Briscoes will look to out-brawl the first-time team! A win over the Briscoes will immediately put Shelley and Sydal into title contention while a victory for the Delaware natives will be a notch in their quest to return to the top of the tag team mountain!
