Alright, so Brian Cage made his AEW Debut at Double or Nothing. Which to me is pretty awesome. I was a fan of his in the little bit I saw of him when I would watch Impact. I for one look forward to seeing what he can do.

So, what’s everyone opinion on the guy? Like him? Dislike him? No opinion of him just yet?

I think he is a huge get for AEW. Surely since they do need some bigger people, and he can move really great to his size as well.

He should beat Jon Moxley this Wednesday in all fairness.

....He's not facing Mox on Wednesday, is he? :eyebrow:

I have no opinion on him yet though, the PPV was the first time I'd seen him.

Never liked him when he was in Lucha Underground a few years back. I'm willing to see what he can do in AEW though, he was impressive at Double or Nothing.

I guess you folks never watched Slammiversary's main event from last year.

From what little I've seen of him in AAA and Impact, he's awesome. I worry they might be pushing him a little too fast here, but if he shows out it could be great so we'll see.

I'm not a fan and I did watch him in both LU and Impact.

Brian Cage can do some great things with his strength and agility in the ring but I can't get past that the whole "machine" thing is tiresome to me and he is shorter than most "big men". Maybe Taz can get me to be interested in him in AEW though. The fact that he gets a future World Championship opportunity in his first night in AEW doesn't help.

He’s very hit and miss with me. Sometimes he lights it up and other times he stinks it up.

Pretty big fan of Cage before coming to AEW between his stinks in LU, AAA, and Impact. I was so bummed when he left because I saw him being the guy within the Company, but injuries held him back with Impact. Cage can have a good Match with anyone on the Roster and Taz with him I expect him to be high on the Card for a long time maybe even a TNT Title Reign in the future.

I do feel like Cage leaving Impact might prove to be a bigger blow to them than it is a "get" for AEW if that makes sense? Though I still think that's a great pick up for AEW regardless.

Oh yeah that makes sense. That was one of their top stars, so it's a huge lost for them for sure. AEW getting him isn't going to change MUCH, but Impact losing him could change a lot there.

Not a fan of his, but, he is a good wrestler. Maybe his time in AEW will make me more interested in him. I just haven't seen enough of him in general to really get too high on him, just judging from what little I had seen of his before AEW.

Yeah my major problems with Cage is a lack of personality and inconsistency. Taz should help him out with the first thing. He'll have to prove his ability to consistently produce in the ring before I'd support a serious run at the AEW Championship. I think in the meantime, he should have a great, fun rivalry with Darby Allin that will help get him over, and he can have a competitive match against Mox. Depending on how that goes, maybe he stays in the title picture, maybe he goes back to feuding in the midcard until he proves himself.

Very strong debut. Big fan of his (from his past with Lucha Underground, and what I ever caught of him in Impact), and I'm intrigued to see how AEW use him. Taz as his mouthpiece will do wonders. Amazing physique too, so adds more body guys (which JR states they've been wanting) - AEW really have a nice balance there. He could maybe cut down a bit on the flip stuff, but he should gel well with the current roster.
