In an interview done prior to All Out that was released Wednesday, Brian Cage said that Tony Khan and AEW could benefit from more help on creative based on his current workload.

Talking to Dan Severn and Don Frye's Toxic Masculinity podcast, Cage was asked by Severn if there was a creative team.

"No, it's just Tony....he does so much anyway already, it's literally all just him. He'll have some help or input from other guys and some of the EVPs that, you know, helped start it like The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes. They kind of help do their own stuff, but Tony pretty much has the final and only say on the majority of the entire product which is a little nuts. I do think that it could benefit with some of the people helping out on that," he explained.

Cage said the backstage environment "far exceeds" any other place he has ever been and that Khan is always responsive to texts and up for a conversation about ideas, something Cage said wouldn't happen elsewhere.

He said when it comes to laying out matches, "they don't micromanage anything...it's pretty easy going in that regard."

Cage drew some headlines after his wife and wrestling ring announcer Melissa Santos posted a video on September 9th saying Cage was a superstar and is "being misused right now." Cage has replied to several fans that he said nothing about being unhappy or leaving and that people are implying it without him saying it.

He hasn't wrestled since the September 1st Dynamite when he lost to Will Hobbs on the show's 100th edition.

No micromanaging matches, because the agents are there to just collect a check.

One of the biggest problems with WCW was wrestlers having too much power when it came to booking. So no thanks Cage on that. Creative freedom and creative control are two different things.
