F4WOnline.com reports that the legendary Ric Flair has parted ways with World Wrestling Entertainment.

According to the brief story, representatives of The Nature Boy contacted independent promotions with the information that Flair will be available for bookings due to a departure from WWE.

Inside details on the situation are scarce, but early reports indicate that the severance is being portrayed as amicable. Flair's WWE contract had apparently been preventing him from accepting offers of interest, so the two sides agreed to end their relationship.

pretty big news there...we won't be seeing Ric Flair on WWE TV again....I wish he would come back :sq_yellow_unsure:

great, now he can go to TNA, win their title, and actually make it worth something....

Well, he is already retired and I'm sure he wouldn't make a very good announcer so this doesn't bother me at all.

^thinking the same thing. the only thing he could do now was be gm or manage someone. the gm slots are all filled but he really couldve helped a young wrestler get their career started. thats the only thing Vince is missing out on

I only think this will be done so that Flair can take indy bookings. I doubt he would accept TNA, but I do see possible him going to ROH and NWA, that had planned big ceremonies for him

If this is true, I wouldn't mind seeing Flair do a shoot interview.

That shoot would be the awesomeness! I doubt he ever wrestles another match again though...nobody can top the way that WWE sent Flair out...that was a great moment that we'll all remember. If he did wrestle Sting...that would totally suck...and it better not headline a PPV because that'd be just like watching Warrior/Hogan...except Sting is actually still a good wrestler.

The whole "retirement" angle was only for WWE. There is no law against TNA. :)

Sting vs Ric Flair right now would be an insult for both their careers considering the match they would put

wow, great timing. Just after the ROH show where they were planning to bring in Flair and Kobashi.

anyways, a Flair shoot interview would be GOLD, I'd like to hear him talk without the restraint of WWE.

Flair could've been used for so much on WWE. Now Flair has to better himself in the world of wrestling.

I'm not 100% sure I agree with Flair not being a good announcer. I may be wrong, but that might be very interesting.
