Kurt Angle is currently at the IFL championship event in Hollywood, FL, and claims to be in negotiations to fight with the promotion.

"God willing, the IFL and myself can make a deal," Angle told Alex Marvez at FoxSports.com tonight. "the best fit for me right now as a pro wrestler who (wrestles) 120 times a year is the IFL."

Angle claimed he would need a year of training before making his debut.

Angle has claimed for the past year he was on the verge of making an MMA deal. At this point, very few consider him seriously.

Kurt Angle always claims to be in negotiations with MMA companies. Most of which usually deny even meeting with Angle. Mark my words, Kurt Angle will never compete in MMA. If he does, and he faces a high profile MMA star, Angle is dead.

Personally I don't think Angle will be able to hack it in MMA, in his prime maybe but now that he's not in tiptop shape as e was in his earlier WWE days, I doubt it... Even with training, it's not a guarantee that he'll make it in MMA... He needs to take care of his body and just concentrate on wrestling...

Angle is always full of shit. If he does fight someone it will be against a hack he knows he can beat or against Lesnar and it will be a worked shoot.

Most likely it would never happen. Would he even be able to get clearence from a doctor?

Nope, don't believe a word of it. He'd get muredered in MMA, seriously. Those guys are the real deal, and when your at a certain age in MMA, your not that effective, so at his age, I can't see Angle even wanting to make the move.

isnt there something in his tna contract that would stop him from doing this

no, he had it added to his contract so that he could. But I think TNA allowed the concession because it was believed that if he ever did it would be to help fellow Spike TV affiliate the UFC, not someone else.
