In kayfabe (I don't care about how it was done in real life), when the WWE brands split back in 2002, how were the rosters decided? Did the wrestlers get to choose which show they appeared on? Were they assigned a show? If so, how were the assignments made? Was it random? Did the GMs take turns picking like two team captains would in a friendly basketball game? The reason I don't know this is because I stopped watching wrestling for a few months because I was bored with the invasion angle, so if anyone can tell me, I'd appreciate it.

I think the bookers choose it so they had equal wrestlers in skill and people that were over with the crowd and then they done this choosing wrestlers for each title group

Location
Sydney, Australia
No Vince Mcmahon represented Smackdown and Ric Flair represented Raw. And they both picked wrestlers one at a time

Oh, kind of like how we used to do in an unsanctioned basketball game when we were kids?
