Australia... and no, I do not ride around on a Kan
Americans and their guns!

Now, before I start this rant, I would like you all to note that this rant is NOT meant to discriminate against any americans here at IWF...and tbh, some of you Americans will probably agree with me on this.

I am ranting about the gun laws in America...I mean, up there anyone can just go and ask for a gun...Americans say that people can do it to 'protect themselves''' Firstly, you don't need to kill someone to defend youself, secondly, people can just go on mass murders because anyone is allowed a gun (like the virgin tech masscre)

Here is Australia, you are not allowed a gun unless you are in the army, or something, of course we have our psychos and people who shoot with guns now and again, but Americans have that like every single freaking day..

Americans need actual gun laws, because their gun laws at the momment are stupid!

Here's the thing.

Look at the Virginia Tech bit.

People should consider themselves very lucky that that guy was using a gun.

The fact is its alot easier to get the mixings for explosives.

Mix up some pipe bombs and detonate in the cafeteria, he would've gotten a huge body count.

Guns aren't the issue here. If you decide you wanna kill alot of people. Its very easy from there, with or without guns.

not everyone can go and get guns. the kids in columbine shooting? they got it from a man who was of age, had a license, and could buy guns. he in turn gave them to them. i cant buy a gun. im 14.my sister can't. shes 17. there are laws, but its not exactly hard to find a way around them. people in australia can;t say that the ONLY people with guns are in military, police, etc. there are people there with them most likely, but just don't go around shooting them.

yes, shoting do hapen a lot here in America. Me and Chuck both live in Cincinnati, and i hear about a shooting or the like almost every week. but, thats not one man, buying a gun, and going on a rampage. its usually either a gang war or such, or one angry, pyschopathic man who wants revenge or is mentally sick.

Most people, if im not mistaken, can't carry a gun, unless you have a gun license and/or a concealed gun license (which allows you to carry one on you). But, police aren't going to go around checking every single person for a gun. The kid who was the shooter in Paduka, Kentucky, he stole the guns from his friend's dad's barn. He wwrapped the guns in a blanket, and just carried them into shool nonchalantly.

So, it's not America's fault, not that you were syaing it. Not Bush's. Police (well, kinda). The people who sell the guns are just doing their job. they don't know what they're going to do with it. its the people who shoot the guns, or know what the shooter is going to do with it. its mostly their fault.

gun laws are there, but like the child slavery laws in Ghana Africa, aren't being enforced very well, therefore the guns are being sold, supplied, given, and used. just as the children in ghana are still tafficked (in case your wondering, thats what my service project is, to help children in Ghana Africa.)

FORT MORGAN, Colo. -- A 13-year-old Burlington, Colo. boy accused of murdering his parents last March will face juvenile charges, rather than adult charges, sparing him of the possibility of life in prison, prosecutors announced Friday.

"This was not an easy decision, nor is it one that I am entirely happy with," said Bob Watson, District Attorney for Colorado's 13th Judicial District.

The boy is accused in the March 1 slayings of Marilyn and Charles Long in the farm town of Burlington near the Kansas state line.

He also is accused of assaulting two younger siblings with a knife.

FOX31 Denver and KWGN are not reporting the child’s name given his status as a juvenile.

After two psychologists examined the boy, the DA offered a plea deal which would have him serve 7 years in a juvenile detention and treatment facility. After his sentence, he will be re-evaluated for possible release, or two years of additional treatment.

Bob Watson said the boy, who was 12 at the time of the slayings, has agreed to plead guilty.

Family members of Charles and Marilyn Long expressed disappointment Friday with the decision to charge the boy as a juvenile.

"He killed my brother. He should spend the rest of his life in prison,â€￾ said Deborah Long, sister of Charles Long. “I don't think he should ever get out."

"I think it's appalling that a justice system would allow a killer back in society in seven years,â€￾ said Michelle Funderburg, the accused boy's cousin.

Prosecutors cannot reveal what was found in the boy's psychological profile, or what might have motivated the killings.

Because he had no prior criminal history, Watson said they had little other choice than to pursue juvenile charges.

Not since 1897 has a 12 year old been incarcerated as an adult in Colorado, well before the juvenile court system was developed.
