State Troopers, Miami County Sheriff's Deputies and the Bunker Hill Town Marshal's Office responded to the call of a possible stabbing on the Nickel Plate Trail in Bunker Hill around 2:50 p.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, they found 76-year-old Arthur L. Anderson of Kokomo bleeding from his neck. Despite the efforts of medical personnel and bystanders on the trail, Anderson died from his injuries.

Witnesses on the scene told State Police Detectives a white male walked up behind Anderson, stabbing him in the neck.

Investigators say 22-year-old Shane C. Golitko drove away from the scene in a black Jeep Cherokee on State Road 218 near U.S. 31.
