On what to expect next:

“I just want to say, I appreciate you guys and thank you for staying behind me. I know the last few years have been a little bit up and down. But I got a lot more left in the tank and I can’t wait to jump back out there. I had a little boo-boo, so I took a little time off to fix myself. And I’m feeling good right now. I’ve been working out hard. And I think the next few weeks, you should see something — something pop off. It’s time to put pen to paper and start getting back to these fans.”

On Hurt Business in WWE

“I think it was kind of a spit in the face towards the end. We never were in front of a live crowd. During the pandemic, a lot of guys kind of sat back home and, ‘I don’t want to do it. I’m not going to do this, I’m not going to do that.’ And it was us that were saying, ‘You know, it’s work, so we’re going.’ And we did everything. Like, we were on half the show most of the time and we were doing everything that a lot of people wouldn’t do."

“And then we came out of the pandemic, then all of these people started resurfacing. ‘Oh, I’m ready to work. I’m ready to work.’ But what about the guys that were putting the time in, in this dangerous time that we were having? And we got kind of overlooked. And I think that was kind of a little bit of a spit in the face. I think we could have come back and we could have did some big things together. They just didn’t want us. I think different strokes for different folks, different people like different things. I think when the regime changed, the regime wasn’t too high on me at all and was definitely not high on them because they were the first people they got rid of.”

He was also asked about Omos at this:

“I think he should be [back on TV]. Unfortunately, I don’t know. I don’t know. The way that things have changed, I don’t see him having that opportunity, I hope that me saying that gives him that opportunity. But a lot of people haven’t had that opportunity, and a lot of people kind of went separate ways with them. So I don’t know what is going on right now. There’s a lot of really good talent that left.”

I just figured they sent Omos to go train.

But it has been a minute. A year and a half I think

He seems like a private dude so if he is at the PC we probs wouldn't hear much anyway. He's just posting on his YouTube channel last I heard

Yeah I thought the Omos push was outrageous but kicking him off tv for this long sucks. Maybe he's injured but I think Hunter just doesn't like/see it with him. Which I think is wrong, I thought he kind of stunk but the potential was massive and he was def over

I kinda look at it as the same as I have a few others recently in both companies. He might wanna be used more and isn't exactly happy but if he's not outright asking for his release, then good for him collecting the check lol I find it more odd he hasn't been released yet, but I can't find myself wanting it when he might not himself either.

I have no idea how I'd book him myself tbf either, I just wanna see those GCW appearances

Wouldn’t be surprised if they made him Melo’s bodyguard at some point

seems like midcard giant gatekeeper would be a fine enough role for a while but I suppose it depends what you want for your midcard

I feel like Bron beating him would be huge for example. if Omos was heated up again

Make him Xavier's muscle would be fun

They could easily milk him losing to Bron and Bronson both (as long as they aren't back to back) but yeah eventually that mystique is completely lost too when they lose so much and that's when you get your comedy giants.

I quite liked the AJ tag team tbh so having him not just as someone's muscle but working tags with them regularly instead of just standing there would be a good use

I feel like when you have nxt + two shows u can just send him to another show once he starts losing to much to heat him up again. It's always gonna be diminishing returns with non athletic giants but ya i think theres some money to be made there at least since he is very likeable and marketable

Khali had a good 4-5 years before he became a comedy character…

They can get something out of Omos

Well I shouldn’t say his 4-5 years were good

When you think about it Omos has already had that long too, but it's not the best comparison bc wrestling in general has started moving a lot slower. Historically a 5 year span would produce massive changes and outside of AEW simply being created, 5 years ago does not feel as far removed as for example 1994 did in 1999

everyone is a looooot more durable now

Attention span is shorter so that's the one harder part I guess

I had completely forgotten the context that they were literally broken up right before the show where they could have had one of the few good WWE pandemic acts in front of live fans
