First, I am not looking for sympathy or anyone to feel sorry for me. That's not the type of person I am. However, I think of most of you as family so I should tell you what is going on.

At the clinic today, my blood pressure was taken and it was 174 over 135. The systolic pressure was so high that I was in danger of having a stroke. In fact, the doctor was surprised I did it.

So, I am going to have to change major things in my life. I don't want my mom to have to bury her other son (actually, they should cremate me and throw my ashes on Vince McMahon).

This is weird for me. As many of you know, I am a workout freak. So the blood pressure thing seemed weird. I haven't been eating great, I admit. So I have to watch the sodium. Blech and I love fried rice.

The most difficult one, and I am sure @Jeffry Fucking Mason will agree, I have to cut back on alcohol. Now I want to make it clear, I almost never get drunk. I tend to have a glass of blackberry brandy after dinner... okay, maybe it's a double, fuck off. But I may have to limit my nightly brandy for one day a week.

I definitely don't want to die so I am changing my diet. Jerry wants to make me give up Lean Cuisine dinners. I love those damn things. He is lecturing me right now lol.

Anyway the whole point was just letting my friends know what is going on. It's not bad or scary to me. It's life. Jerry has nearly kicked his cigarrette habit.

I WANT MY BRANDY!!! It is nice to have a glass after Raw goes off the air.

Avoid salt, drink a metric fuck ton of water.

God I am going to miss Chinese food. Yeah, I have an app now and I have to record my water intake plus take diuretics which will make me pee all day. I already go to the bathroom like ever 90 minutes. But yeah, I am going to work on it and thanks for the advise, buddy.

I actually have low blood pressure and when I was 17, my doctor advised me to eat McDonald's fries once a week. lol

I am some what of a natural health nut. Table salt is bad. There is no way around it. The added iodine is needed but most is depleted (it evaporates) by the time it hits the shelves at the store. Buy yourself some Himalayan salt. It will help balance your body out and you will still get iodine in its natural form. Frozen dinners is another thing I was advised to eat... So stay away from those. The "lean" or "weight friendly" ones often labeled as healthy are the most unhealthy ones there are. Get a natural soy sauce and make your own stir fry when you need a fix. It is super easy to make. Just don't over do it! Epsom salt soaks be it whole body or just your feet will regulate the salt levels in your body. Magnesium is VERY important for this as is potassium. Often people who have high blood pressure are deficient in one or both of those. You can get your levels checked if you want. If you really want to drop it fast, do a juice fast once a week. No food for 24 hours, just juice to reset your system. Wheatgrass also helps too. (I read waaay too much about this stuff lol)

And as Swing mentioned, water is your best friend. Spring water is usually best for people with high blood pressure. You can add a pinch of the Himalayan salt to it to stabilize it if you want too. You are a strong willed individual. That will work to your advantage big time.

Go for awhile without eating and have a big salt free meal, might reset your taste buds and make salt free food more tolerable. Not advocating extreme fasting or not eating though lol.

I went a few weeks without eating before (extreme fast) and leveled out my cholesterol. The doctor was dumbfounded. LOL You gotta be healthy to do that though so it usually isn't a good idea to do more than 72 hours for most people. Gotta build up to the marathon fasting.

Quitting any habit or making any change in your life is a difficult one. I don't claim to know shit about physical health or wellbeing, but I know at least that much to be true. If anyone can do it, though, it's you. About 8 months ago I gave up the tobacco pouches I had been using on a daily basis for close to 9 years, because I really started worrying about my teeth and throat. So if I, a person who basically takes no care of my body, can give that up for health reasons, then hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult for you to give up the brandy and fried rice for the sake of your health. It may suck, but you got this, bro

Thank you for all of that. It helps and makes me happy. One thing about me, which I am sure you know, is that I am stubborn as a
enraged penis... my fiance made me put that there
. I love a challenge. This will be like forcing Ric Flair to go to AA. I really get inspired and attack a hard challenge.

I like fish so maybe I can get some tilapia filets and sear them with minor seasoning.

I have fasted before. I once went 8 days without eating, and then like a genius, the first thing I ate was Taco Bell. That was not fun.

I really think the blackberry brandy is a large player in the blood pressure game. It makes me a bit sad though because I won't see the nice people at the liquor store who call me by nam.

Thank you very much for

That helps. Thank so much. That inspires me.

You guys are great and I feel a little relaxed and maybe the blood pressure is down a bit  Thank you everyone. this was a scary day but I am feeling great now.

I had blood pressure so I changed my diet a lot...no alcohol, no fast food, nothing high in sodium like Chinese, no spicy food like Mexican...I cried because all I was basically eating cardboard...got put on medicine as well...it would cause my blood pressure to drop a lot...so I got took off of it and I began to fast severely...years later I have found the perfect balance.

I must be a strange case. I mean, I work out pretty hard. I do 45 minutes of cardio five times a week and lift weights 3 times. I do have a glass of brandy every night after dinner. But one brandy shouldn't affect my blood pressure. I have to admit I am a little scared. I got tired walking to the clinic, which is weird because I am a walker. I walk every day, several miles. And then with my brother passing away with an infarction, I think it really began to worry me.

So it must be my diet. I actually have no problem with health food actually. I have always enjoyed calorie counting apps on the phone so I guess I'm going to have to record sodium this time.

Oh and I don't want anyone to think I am scared or seeking attention. You all are like a family that have no voice and no physical presence, but they do know how type letters mostly :p

You know what also helps lower blood pressure. Master...never mind.

Jokes aside, I hope you can manage that. I do know since my brother is a bit of a gym junkie and did lose considerable weight, that diet is just as important as exercise. Then again I have gained some extra weight and should probably talk to him sometime soon about helping me drop some weight, but hopefully, you can do it and still enjoy that treat once in a while (even if you need to take a break from it for a while).
