I may sound rude but WWE is one racist piece of shitty company. Their attempts to get sympathy from black people is laughable when history has shown their treatment towards African Americans.
There has been no black WWE Champion till date.Dont tell me about the World Heavyweight title has been held by Booker T and Mark Henry.Be honest that belt was a second tier title.Thw WWE Title has been always The TOP Title.
See below for other examples:

1.Farooq aka Ron Simmons-A former WcW Champion never allowed to his full potential

2.Bobby Lashley-Vince was high on him but never gave him a true main event push. His ceiling was ECW Championship a belt that meant nothing. You can say he had no mic skill but plenty of white people with subpar mic Skill has held the WWE Title multiple times.

3.Shelton Benjamin:Hugely over but couldnt go beyond IC/US Title

4.MVP:He had all the elements of a World Champion.Good in the ring, decent on mic and over with the crowd.Yet never allowed to hold the World Title.

5.Kofi Kingston:became hot in late 2009 with feud with Randy Orton.Yet was jobbed out and back to midcard purgatory

6.Big E:Initially HHH and Vince's pet project to be the next big thing. He was given a IC Title run but then thats about it.Roman Reigns was chosen over him to be the future and poor Langston was left as a jobber until New Day came along.
I could go on and bring more names from 80's and 90's(Ahmed Johnson,Mabel,) who were not allowed to the top.
And dont tell me about Rock.Vince always had fetish for Samoans(Rikishi now Reigns).
So fuck WWE and their ridiculous PR strategy. They should look into their own history before doing fake black month celebration ffs.

Ahmed Johnson and Marc Mero were Vince's picks to be "the man" but they did not get over with the crowd.

Blacks only make up around 10% of the US population IIRC. One could expect them to win the title around 10% of the time. IIRC the stats were out on minorities holding the world title and IIRC they were slightly under represented (by around 5%)

The Samoans are there because the families involved go back to the WWWF under VInce's dad and Vince values loyalty.

Also the WWE can't control the fans reactions as to who gets over. They can try (Reigns) but its not a science. Vince has screwed over way more white wrestlers than anyone else.

The fanbase is also overwhelmingly white as well. Watch some shoot interviews and most wrestlers were fans when they were young. Going by the reactions to The New Day the fans do not care who or what the wrestlers are. There might just not be as many minorities coming through with a passion due to less minority fans wanting to be wrestlers. So it would be harder to find ones with the X factor due to a smaller pool of talent available.

Could be a cultural thing you are not going to find that many professional USA Rugby players because rugby is not such a thing in the USA. Not sure if wrestling is that popular in the USA with minorities.

BTW I am not American.

COuld be interesting to see where Big E goes. The right push and he could be a contender (charisma, size+ looks).

I shouldn't even reply to this thread. But what the dude said above has a lot to do with it. Very low population of black people and there's simply a lot of white people in pro wrestling.

I know more minorities have held titles in the WWF/WWE than you will find women in the trades, driving trucks etc over here. Probably more than male teachers as well.
