UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn recently talked to The Sun and when the topic of Kimbo Slice he held the internet street fighting sensation (thanks Jimmy Lennon Jr.) in high regard:

“I talked to him once on the phone and he seems like a nice guy. You can’t help but root for him when he’s out there fighting. I want to see him do good and win - but it’s going to be tough for him.

“Everybody got into fighting because they wanted to be a tough guy and a street fighter so I guess we can all kind of relate to him. But it’s going to be very hard for Kimbo to challenge for a title - it will take a lot of training and a lot of luck.

“I’d love to see him up there with a championship one day - it would be amazing.â€

“Who would have thought the WWE champion would be the UFC champion? You never know what can happen in the fight game. I’d love to see it happen, it’s a long shot but I’d love to see it.â€

Keep in mind now, BJ has been known to talk out of his ass, so this probably holds no credibility. However he does bring up a good comparison with Brock, who would have thought that right?
