In a recent interview with MMADieHards, Michael Bisping talked Chael Sonnen, Hector Lombard, Anderson Silva, and more.

"(Hector Lombard getting a title shot if he beats Brian Stann) does piss me off a little bit, you know? I’ve been slugging away in the UFC for six years now, fighting the best guys in the world, and just because Hector Lombard’s been knocking out part-time fighters who probably hold down jobs full-time and he’s been knocking out people that I haven’t got a clue who they are, I haven’t even heard of them, you know, while I’ve been knocking out the best fighters in the world and fighting the best consistently for six years and he’s going to come in from knocking out John the baker from around the corner and you know, he gets a title shot?"

“I’m never going to get a title shot. Every time I get on cusp of it, I put together a good win streak and then I lose by a decision that maybe I think I should have won, but that’s down to me. I can’t blame my opponents for that, I should try to take them out and beat them too it, that’s what I’m trying to do. Now I’m fighting Tim Boetsch.

"I think I’m still in the mix up there. I definitely haven’t gone down. I definitely think I’m one of the top few. I think I could give Anderson a good fight ... I definitely think I’ll get my shot soon.â€

“I’ve watched the fight (vs. Chael Sonnen at UFC on FOX 2 on Jan. 28 in Chicago) several times and every time I watch it I think I’ve won ... But listen, I’m not gonna cry and complain about it. It was a close fight, I think I won rounds one and two, he definitely got round three. So judges, whatever, they maybe favor the takedowns a bit much, I think the general consensus is that I won."

I get what he's saying but at the same time he did lose his last fight. I thought the judges made the wrong decision, but that's why you leave it out of their hands. If he wants a title shot he's going to have to put on a winning streak and maybe he should've taken the Munoz fight rather than deciding to fight Tim Boetsch.

I think that he is right. It is a joke that he is being overlooked as the next challenger. Yes he lost his last fight but it was against Chael Sonnen and it was a questionable decision, I think that if he beats Boetsch he should get the title shot.

Its crazy that we had such a close fight between Bisping and Chael and Bisping gets tossed back down the line after doing rather well since the Wandy loss. I mean he hasn't been fighting slouches but now we have Lombard coming in and essentially what is being said is that Stann is next in line so if this guy can come in and beat Stann then he the definite next best to challenge for the title and that is a load of crap. I mean yeah we do need a challenger lined up for the middleweight title after the Silva dismantling :) But chances are is that the fight won't happen for a while so why not have the winner of Bisping/Tim which will more than like be Bisping face off against the winner of Stann/Lombard and that way we can have a real number one contender cause it seems like Bisping is getting the short end of the stick.

And to be honest... I'm not a Bisping fan. But Bisping has a definite point and he is getting screwed over.

Bisping doesn't deserve any title shot.

Everytime the dude gets close he stumbles, maybe he should just go the Chael route and talk massive shit about Lombard and get a contenders bout.

If both Bisping and Lombard lose there upcoming fights, this will be a good matchup to do. But honestly i don't see Bisping losing, and Lombard has a tough test in Brian Stann but i think he'll get the win.

I like Lombard a lot, and want to see how legit he is.

Middleweight division is getting as clusterfucked as the lightweights is.

You have Bisping, who clearly beat #1 contender Sonnen in the last fight, against Boestch who KO'd widely accepted #3 Okami.

Sonnen wiped the floor with Stann.

Munoz is lingering around as he was the one slated for Bisping's place on the Fox card, so in effect he is owed a contender fight too, if he beats Weidmann.

Belcher just beat the best BJJ guy in the division emphatically.

Belfort is up there after he KO's Wandy.

Just a huge mess.

One mans clusterfuck is another mans stacked division.

Glad there are more contenders in a division thats been soundly cleared out for years.
