WWE’s website has posted a storyline update on Big Show, saying he has been sent home and is not cleared to compete after working Survivor Series and last night’s RAW. They wrote:

“Big Show was sent home and has not been cleared for further action because of the repeated head trauma he suffered at Survivor Series and on Monday night’s Raw, WWE.com has learned.

During the WWE Championship Match at Sunday’s pay-per-view in Boston, Randy Orton punted Big Show in the head to retain the title. According to ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann, the giant “did sustain some head trauma from Randy Orton’s punt. Thankfully, at that time his neurological exam was normal. He passed all of his impact testing, and he was able to get in the ring without any headaches, dizziness or problems at that time.”"

WWE’s Dr. Amann noted that the trauma Show suffered on RAW caused concussive symptoms and while they do further testing he is not cleared to compete.

Hopefully this is a way of getting Big Show out of the title picture for the foreseeable future, what do y'all think?

And that's why Orton shouldn't be allowed to do that punt kick. I betcha he won't get any heat for that either. If it were the other way around, Show would be getting some heat.

Great way to get the Punt back over + Orton back over as a career/dream killer + get Big Show out of the title picture.

All accounts = :yay:

I do believe this is kayfabe judging by the Raw ME.

It's a good way to write Big Show off TV for a short while while at the same time selling the Punt Kick as a dangerous move, but it's a shame that both Punt Kicks that we've gotten this year had to be used on the Big Show (unless Orton drags one out at TLC, but then, he'll probably either miss or we'll just see SuperCena recover from it in seconds.)

I disagree so much. It's bullshit OTHER people than Orton can't use their punt, but he can...I dig the move.

I have to assume this is kayfabe.
