Knockouts’ Championship | Awesome Kong vs. Gail Kim (c)
Kong overpowers Gail at the onset. Gail applies a headlock; Kong powers out, backing her into the corner. Kong overpowers and slams Gail repeatedly. Gail counters a scoop slam with a flying crossbody from the ropes.
Kong unleashes a submission series that sees a bear hug turn into a cross arm breaker. Gail counters Kong’s hold into a hold of her own. Kong rises, setting up for what looks like a Samoan drop; Gail counters with the flying dragon! Kong drops her with a brainbuster!
Kong heads to the top rope. Gail misses a hurricanrana; Kong splashes for a near-fall!
Kong tosses Gail from the ring. She grabs a chair and Gail’s husband, Robert Irvine, intervenes! While Hebner’s distracted, Kong delivers and Implant Buster onto chairs! Gail’s sent into the ring where she kicks out at two!
Gail counters a powerbomb with a hurricanrana! Kong’s out at two; she counters the Eat Defeat and scales the ropes again! Gail battles Kong to the floor and finds herself on the top rope. Kong attempts a chokeslam; Gail counters with an Eat Defeat from the top rope! She rolls Kong up for three.
Result: Gail Kim def. Awesome Kong
Backstage: Jeff Hardy vows to call the match down the middle.
