Report: Bethe Correia meets Jessamyn Duke at UFC 172
A pair of undefeated recent UFC debut winners will meet in April in Baltimore.
According to a report from Combate, Brazil’s Bethe Correia (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will meet Jessamyn Duke (3-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 172. UFC officials have not yet made the bout official.
UFC 172 takes place April 26 at Baltimore Arena in Baltimore. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Correia made her UFC debut in December at UFC Fight Night 33 in Australia. There, she took a split decision from Julie Kedzie to stay unbeaten. It was her sixth decision victory in seven fights.
Duke was on Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter†this past fall, where she was the second pick for Ronda Rousey’s team. She lost her first fight inside the “TUF†house to Raquel Pennington. But at her official UFC debut at the TUF 18 Finale, she beat fellow “TUF 18″ cast member Peggy Morgan by unanimous decision.
With the addition, the latest UFC 172 fight card now includes:
Champ Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira for light heavyweight title
Jake Ellenberger vs. Tarec Saffiedine
Joe Ellenberger vs. Yancy Medeiros
Andre Fili vs. Max Holloway
Bethe Correia vs. Jessamyn Duke*
