2016 is coming to an end, so I have one question for you... Who has been the best Tag Team WWE(including NXT!) this year?

Is it NEW DAY because they're close to breaking the longest reigning Tag Team record?

Is it American Alpha for their amazing technical ability and teamwork?

Is it Heath Slater & Rhyno because Heath has kids and GORE GORE GORE!!!!?

Is it the Uso's for their well rounded arsenal and technical ability? (Not to mention that attitude adjustment they just went thru)

Is is The Authors of Pain for their sheer power and dominance?

From what I heard as far as storylines and execution goes this award potentially belongs to "The Revival".. Personally with the little bit that I've been educated on this year I'd say American Alpha though, with Revival 2nd, & New Day 3rd..

The Revival, easily. Best tag team on the planet, baby!

They have been absolutely amazing this year.

They are a great old-school heel team, with a great psychology, a great finisher and everything they do has purpose. There is zero wasted motion while they're at work.

Plus, they've had at least four MOTYC this year... They are simply amazing.

American Alpha would be a close second, though. Followed by The New Day and DIY.

This is most likely what my response would've been had I witnessed everything The Revival has done this year.. Going off of 2 matches that I've seen and just simply reading about their moves and storylines was enough for me to put them as #2.. if I had seen it all I probably would've had the same rankings layout that you have.

I honestly haven't watched much tag team wrestling this year...

In fact I haven't really cared about the tag team "scene" at all
this year...but I do now...because Bray & Randy have claimed
some silverware...so I'm going to be a total fanboy and say
The Wyatt Family and move on.

The only reason I didn't include them on the list was because they just became a Tag team but I feel you.

As far as work rate goes, I've thorougly enjoyed the work of both The Revival and Anderson & Gallows. However, guys like New Day, Enzo & Cass and Rhyno & Heath Slater give a good "entertainment" edge to the shows. The Usos, American Alpha, Cesaro & Sheamus and TM61 are the best overall in-ring workers, in my opinon.

My favorite tag team, currently, is TMDK so I inherently chose TM61. :quimby:

I dig what I've seen from TM61, I hope they continue to be apart of the WWE and don't find themselves buried at any time.. those guys are great workers and have the look of a solid tag team. I only heard murmurs about the stable outside of WWE but they haven't disappointed from what I've heard from my peeps who actually followed them.

As many know... To put it kindly I don't like WWE tag matches. One of my least favorite things to watch, really, though often I've gotten used to just keeping an eye out for the last few minutes or so and just appreciating what we do see plus seeing if storylines get advanced or...

So Thank you Revival for putting on what are surely 4 of the 10 best WWE matches this year. INCREDIBLE stuff at every Takeover special. Their ability to pace a match, take just enough offense to be effective heels while also NEVER allowing matches to get boring, use some legitimately nasty tactics like ref distractions for a tag for maximum effectiveness, is just watching wizardry.

Working with AA and DIY doesn't hurt, but their psychology was every bit those matches as the babyfaces' flashy awesomeness. Co-Wrestlers of the Year.

I wonder if I should have included the headbangers?
