Not all that high on 88, and SummerSlam '98 is a rare bright point in early Attitude Era PPVs for me since TV was king back then.

Both good shows but 98 gets my vote for that Rock/Triple H ladder match, and having Highway to Hell as the theme song.

88 had Elizabeth ass.........98 had a garbage match of a mainevent.

I'm fine with 98 winning. It was a touchstone of the attitude era. The build for it was some of the best, but the main event itself was a let down. The main event for 88 delivered IMO. A few gems further down the card too like the opener.
