What would you choose to be the MMA fight of the year. For me it would have to Rampage Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin as I don't believe many people could forsee the outcome. Plus it was just a good all around, back and forth match.

So what do you guys see as the MMA fight of the year?

My favorite would have to be Jens Pulver vs Urijah Faber at the beggining of june. It went 5 rounds and it was non stop action. I really enjoyed the fight, especially since it was on free tv :)

Hmmm...... It's a really tough one. MMA has spoilt the fans this year with some great fights. off the top of my head that I have seen this year it would be Roger Huerta vs. Kenny Florian. I didn't rate Huerta's chances much but he did really well to keep it a close fight.

I second MTG's choice of Jens vs. Faber. That was one brutal 5 round war. I really enjoyed watching that fight, total back and fourth action, plus really turned heads to WEC. UFC didn't have too many classic fights this year. Most of the important fights this year were one sided and short as hell.

Holy Crap don't know what I was thinking. I thought that fight was AMAZING. It was the fight that actually got me watching WEC cuase it took a guy who was a legend in UFC and had this young kid just dominate him for 5 rounds. It was crazy.
