Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said today that Ring of Honor’s first live pay-per-view Best in the World did a little over 12,000 buys, up from the original estimate which was 10,000 which was always said to be a rough estimate. 12,000 buys means ROH didn’t just break even with their first venture into live PPV but actually made some money, and the buyrate doesn’t include who would have bought the PPV internationally on uStream. To put this buyrate into comparison, it did better than a majority of TNA’s pay-per-views over the past four years.
