You look at that Norman Pic and you think Man is that guy a Model and you forget he would stab you in your Sleep. I hope one day we get a Babadook 2 you can age up the Son and Mother and continue the Story of the Son been haunted from the first film. They have him in control in a sense at the end of the Film that could change that thing isn't going to play nice forever.

Writer/Director Jennifer Kent I saw an Interview with IGN and from her words it seems like she envisioned The Babadook to stand alone and not have a Sequel. It sucks I know because it's a Monster coming out of the Book and you can open up so many things from that but that is the deal with it for now. Someone buy the rights and open up the Gates to this World.

Tbf the Babadook isn't about the monster, it's a character story first and foremost and the Babadook is just sort of an allegory for repressed emotion.

I actually enjoyed Babadook quite a bit, and found it quite scary. The design especially is great.

Norman Bates is just a lot more creepier to me though because of how well the character is played by Anthony Perkins.
