Well the title says it all. I read this on Wikipedia...

Mac suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005.

On August 1, 2008, Mac was hospitalized with what his publicist claimed was pneumonia. The next day, responding to rumors that the actor was in "very, very critical condition," his publicist said that he was responding well to treatment, and should be released soon. On August 9, his publicist announced that Mac had died from complications of pneumonia unrelated to sarcoidosis.

The 2008 Bud Billiken Parade in Chicago, on the day he died, was dedicated to his memory.

Kinda shocked by this. I never he knew he had sarcoidosis. I wonder if that ever affected his on-screen work, since he made movies such as; Oceans Eleven and Twelve, Charlies Angel: Full Throttle, Mr 3000, Bad Santa and about 15 more with this.

RIP Bernie Mac.

already a thread...but I'll say this again. I loved his show, and I loved Mr. 3000, Friday, and Bad Santa. He will be missed.

RIP
