Benoit's moveset kept alive

Well, it took a while, but we are starting to see slowly more and more moves that Chris Benoit made popular in other wrestler's movesets. For example, the series of German Suplexes he made popular is used by Elijah Burke(whenever he gets a chance to wrestle).

However, the most noticeable example is the Crippler Crossface. It was first used by HBK at SS, to a shock from the crowd. And now, it appears to be incorporated 24/7 into Triple H's moveset.

How do you feel about HHH doing Benoit's maneuver(before anyone complains, I refer to the move that Chris made famous, not that he made)? And do you think that we will ever see a wrestler pull off again the Diving Headbutt?

Well, it's not like Benoit invented any of those moves so it's really not a big deal.

And I believe Umaga does a diving headbutt from time to time.

I dont have a problem. Many wrestlers have used the crossface other than Benoit so Im glad HHH uses it. Plus it adds another move to his moveset. But no doubt Benoit had great moves, and bringing some back will add to some peoples moveset which is good.
So I dont have a problem, I know why they didnt use a few moves at first, but I like that their bringing some moves back...
And maybe for the diving headbutt, lol

That's a different type of headbutt. I mean the Swan Headbutt, the one Dynamite Kid used and then Benoit used.

i like that hhh does the crossface... i dont think anyone besides hhh of hbk will ever do it again probably tho... and ya umaga does the diving headbutt and santino marella has done it too although his was a little different...

But I do hate how everybody is doin the Crossface now. First HBGay, then Samoa Joe, now HHHitler. Anyway, a couple guys should be able to do it, like Angle, maybe Benjamin or Haas, but not HHH or HBGay.....As for the Headbutt, Umaga does it, but not the same. I don't know if someone will use it, cause if they do, what will JR say? "Shades of Dynamite Kid!". I think it's BS, just say the truth, "Shades of Chris Benoit!" I mean, you cant erase history. Stop acting like he never existed

I don't really see anyone on the E roster that might pull off a diving headbutt but HBK and HHH are probably the ones that can do the crossface and get that pop. They're main eventers and well established guys in the E, if someone like Matt Hardy did it, it just wouldn't get the same reaction.

I agree I mean when HBK used the crossface at SS 07 on Randy Orton he didn't get boo'd he got a decent pop.. If someone like I dunno Umaga did something like that he would get bashed..

They are just trying to associate the crossface with HHH.

Further distancing itself from Benoit.

In a few years, most of the casuals will forget that Benoit even used it.

Yes Elijah does the German suplex once every month (how often we see him) and we do see the Crossface from HHH a lot now. I have absolutely no problem with it. I mean, they are just wrestling moves. It isn't like you can't use any move Benoit ever did. That would just be ridiculous.

As far as the Umaga headbutt goes, I would call that a falling headbutt, not diving. As far as the Diving Headbutt making a return, I don't see any established star doing it, but maybe an up and comer who arrives on the roster will.

Exactly what CenaMark said, they are trying to further wipe out the name of Chris Benoit from the cross-face move. So that 10 years later children should be talking about HHH doing the cross-face and making it popular not Chris Benoit, it's just a damn plan to clear out everything controversial that WWE had with Chris Benoit. They don't want people to say "OMG, a wrestler murdered his wife"

And by 4 years time Chris Benoit will be forgotten...

I don't mind wrestlers using moves Benoit used its good to see someone use them i love the cross face. But TBH id much prefer HHH to use Indian death lock than the cross face but saying that he seems to pull off the cross face. But i like the fact that some of Benoit's moves are starting to get used now. I don't think Benoit will ever be forgotten to TBH apart from the murder aspect he was a great wrestler and anyone who has followed wrestling long enough wont forget him or what he did in the ring.

maybe these wrestlers are doing these moves as a way to show their respect for chris despite what happened at the very end of his life.
