Ben Alloway vs. Jack Mason among Cage Warriors 65 additions
With two new additions, the fight card is taking shape for March’s Cage Warriors 65 event in Ireland.
Officials today announced the pair of matchups: welterweights Ben Alloway (12-5) vs. Jack Mason (26-12) and lightweights Damien Brown (10-5) vs. Paul Redmond (8-4).
Cage Warriors 65 takes place March 1 at The Helix in Dublin. The main card streams on MMAjunkie following prelims on Facebook.
Alloway, a recent UFC competitor who appeared on “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes,†looks to halt a two-fight skid following losses to Ryan LaFlare and Zak Cummings. In the Australian’s promotional debut, he earned a “Knockout of the Night†bonus for a first-round win over Manuel Rodriguez, which marked his sixth straight victory.
He meets Cage Warriors vet Mason, who’s won two straight and six of his past seven. The Englishman went 4-1 in 2013 and closed out the year with wins over Vladimir Opanasenko and Seydina Seck.
Brown, meanwhile, recently made his promotional debut and suffered a decision loss to Julien Boussuge at Cage Warriors 61. The Australian looks to halt a 1-2 skid when he takes on Irishman Redmond, who was riding a five-fight winning streak (with five second-round stoppages) before a submission loss to Mateusz Teodorczuk at Cage Warriors 63.
The latest Cage Warriors 65 card now includes:
John Maguire vs. Saul Rogers
Ben Alloway vs. Jack Mason
Alex Enlund vs. Artem Lobov
Bryan Creighton vs. Damien Rooney
Damien Brown vs. Paul Redmond
Lewis Long vs. Philip Mulpeter
Paddy Pimblett vs. Martin Sheridan
Lee Caers vs. Merv Mulholland
Myles Price vs. Peter Queally
