Bellator announced two fights for their Bellator 48 card on August 20th. The first is a heavyweight superfight between Cole Konrad (7-0) and Paul Buentello (29-13) that was originally scheduled for Bellator 42. The other is a matchup between former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez (46-11) and Seth Petruzelli (13-6). It wasn't announced if the Rodriguez/Petruzelli fight would be contested at light heavyweight or heavyweight.
