Bellator 116 lineup finalized, Lavar Johnson vs. Blagoi Ivanov headlines
The lineup is set for next month’s Bellator 116 event, which features a trio of Season 10 tournament bouts.
In the co-headliners, the heavyweight-tournament semifinals take place with Lavar Johnson (18-8 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) vs. Blagoi Ivanov (10-0 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) and Siala-Mou Siliga (6-2 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) vs. Alexander Volkov (20-4 MMA, 4-1 BMMA). All four fighters picked up wins in the opening round of the tourney at Bellator 111.
Bellator 116 takes place April 11 at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif. The main card airs on Spike TV following prelims on Spike.com.
In addition to the heavyweight-tourney bouts, a welterweight-tourney semifinal takes place with Nathan Coy (14-4 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) vs. Adam McDonough (10-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA). Additionally, kicking off the main card is a previously reported light-heavyweight bout between UFC vets Joey Beltran (14-10 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) and Vladimir Matyushenko (27-7 MMA, 1-0 BMMA).
The prelims also feature a host of notables, including Rob Emerson, Karo Parisyan, Keith Berry and Virgil Zwicker.
