Bellator 112 lineup set with Juarez-Koreshkov, McDonough-Scanlon tourney fights

Bellator MMA’s Season 10 welterweight tournament field is complete with the addition of Jesse Juarez (21-8 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) vs. Andrey Koreshkov (14-1 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) and Adam McDonough (9-0 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) vs. Mark Scanlon (9-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA).

Those two fights are now scheduled for Bellator 112, which takes place March 14 at Indiana’s Horseshoe Hammond Casino. The Juarez vs. Koreshkov bout takes place on the evening’s Spike TV-broadcast main card, while McDonough vs. Scanlon serves as the featured bout on the Spike.com-streamed preliminary card.

The other two opening-round welterweight tourney matchups take place on the same card with Sam Oropeza vs. Joe Riggs and Nah-Shon Burrell vs. War Machine.

In the evening’s main event, Bellator featherweight champ Daniel Straus faces Pat Curran for a third time.

Juarez’s Bellator career dates back to 2009 and the promotion’s second-ever fight card. However, he didn’t stick with the promotion and continued to fight on the regional scene. He recently returned to the organization and earned a 57-second submission win over Joe Williams at this past November’s Bellator 106 event.

Koreshkov is a former welterweight tournament winner whose lone career loss came in a failed July 2013 bid to unseat then-Bellator champ Ben Askren. Koreshkov has since rebounded with a decision win for a regional promotion in his native Russia.

McDonough brings a perfect career mark to the tourney. Eight of those wins came by stoppage, including a Bellator-debut first-round victory over Johnny Buck at September’s Bellator 100 event. He faces Englishman Scanlon, who has earned all nine of his victories by way of stoppage, including seven by submission. He now makes his Bellator debut.

The full lineup for Bellator 112 now includes:
