Bella Twins leaving WWE

Nikki and Brie Bella are departing WWE and starting a new chapter.

After speculation began when they changed the names of their social media accounts on Tuesday, People confirmed that Nikki and Brie are leaving WWE. They'll be going by the names Nikki Garcia and Brie Garcia going forward. Together, they'll be known as The Garcia Twins.

The Bellas' SiriusXM podcast has changed its name to The Nikki & Brie Show. In a clip from the show, Nikki and Brie spoke about their WWE departure.

"When our contract came up with WWE -- mutually we all knew, we just needed to head into this new chapter," Nikki said.



Nikki and Brie also posted a social media teaser about their new chapter.

"This next chapter of our lives is about taking it to the next level," the teaser said. "Owning who we are. Being unapologetically us. And fiercely walking through that open door."



Garcia is part of Nikki and Brie's real last name. The "Nikki Bella," "Brie Bella," and "Bella Twins" trademarks are owned by WWE.

Nikki and Brie were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020.

The Bellas were originally advertised for Raw's 30th anniversary episode this January but didn't end up appearing. They did an Instagram Live video on the night of the show where they called out WWE for its lack of women's evolution representation on the anniversary special.

"Nikki Bella Says I Do," a four-part E! series about Nikki's wedding to Artem Chigvintsev, recently finished airing. WWE was involved with producing that series.

I doubt they will wrestle again, but I would also pop if they made their way into the Outsiders storyline, obviously would fit. Don't think I'd want to see them in ring with Nikki's neck issues and Brie's lack of athletic ability

I always find it a bit humorous when people are so certain of said things.

And I said one LESS reason not NO reason, it's likely he will at least go back for the hof induction at least for sure though. doubt he even wrestles full time after this contract regardless where he goes

I just have my doubt on a full time return (not that you said that at all btw, more just spitballing now) after what he said about his last match in WWE. But then again, landscapes can change in an instant in wrestling, who knows what things look like even in a year.

Danielson won’t be wrestling full time anywhere probably by the end of 2024. But he’ll go back for the HOF and one last Mania match.

I’ve always said the only person I truly never see going back(outside of HOF) is Moxley.

Now onto the topic at hand. I truthfully didn’t know they were under contract to begin with. As mentioned above, I’m a little shocked they weren’t given the rights to the Bella name a while ago .

Not a huge loss as I never expected either to wrestle again. Brie is a mom of 2 and said she was done a while back. And I’m sure Nikki doesn’t wanna risk injury.

Not to be facetious but I wish them the best in their future endeavors.
