Former WWE Champion Batista has been telling people within WWE that he's looking to take an extended break from WWE following WrestleMania.

Those within the company expect Batista to take his leave of absence following the Extreme Rules PPV later this month.

Batista is scheduled to begin filming for the upcoming WWE Studio's film "Killing Karma" this spring and the general consensus within the locker room is that Batista will not wrestler while he is filming.

Also as noted earlier here on the website, The Great Khali will be finishing up with WWE, for now, on Friday's Smackdown. Khali told people at the tapings Tuesday that he would be taking some time off, and returning to India. As of right now, there is no timetable for him to return to the company.

So long to both of you.

Batista has been better as a heel so I hope he returns soon and then turns heel again because when he was a face he sucked. And I agree with you on the Great Khali I hope he never returns. He has been garbage since he first debuted in the wwe.

You know Batista will come back as a face. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Cena/Batista shake hands after ER

Of course they always come back as a face but I hope they eventually turn him heel again.

Why can't Khali have been used to put someone over strong on his way out. Like Evan Bourne or a NXT rookie.

Don't really care about Tist leaving. His movie will undoubtedly be garbage and his absence, with Taker's possibly coming makes way for a very interesting main event scene on Smackdown.

That's what I was thinking. It certainly would have been a better use of him than squashing Bryan. >_> But even on SD, an up and coming smaller heel could have done wonders for himself if he destroyed Khali and injured him.

Figured he would leave after WM. Thought it'd be directly after though. This just seemed like his last moments in the spotlight, ironically, and damn.. it really was the best moments of his career. Cut his best promo(s) and had his best matches in the past 3 weeks out of his entire 7-8 year career in the WWE. So much better as a heel.

Yessir. Taker, Tista, leaving. Rumours of Jericho possibly being injured as well (oh the inrony) SD's main event scene is going to use some shaking up. Plus with the draft coming up, the possibilities are endless. Me personally, I'd like to see Kofi and the Miz step up.

Oh no, we won't have the technical brilliance of Khali anymore.

I will stick to this.

Khali played a great monster. No matter how much he's in ring ability gets shit on, he was did the job he was designed to do. You cannot say you were not surprised when a 7'3 guy walks out in 2006 and destroys Undertaker. Or when Undertaker was able to topple the giant.

As a heel monster, it was very believable when Khali beat people up. He is an impressive monster, who does what he is designed to do.

I suppose it's better for Batista to leave us all with something good to remember him by rather than last year when everyone was HOPING for him to hang up the boots. I would have liked to see him maybe work through Summerslam and put over an up and coming face...but oh well.

A million times this. Batista finally hits his peak playing the asshole role, and he decides to take a break. I just hope we don't get the rematch loving Batista once he returns.

As for Khali.. Meh.

Khali leaving is of no consequence to anyone. The world's tallest jobber was bullshit in the ring.

Batista was starting a new era in his career and was a great heel. He was a great face too for a few years but this was the next step for him and his matches were better as a result of it. He's killing his momentum but when everyone returns they get a huge pop.
