Current PWG World Heavyweight Champion the Human Tornado might be out of wrestling for some time suffering both an ACL and dislocated kneecap injury. The injury took place on Friday April 25, 2008 at a JCW show in Springfield IL. Tornado was supposed to face Billy Morgan, but as Tornado hopped the top rope, he landed wrong, blowing out his knee on landing. They did a quick 25-second match where Tornado, even while injured managed to hit a flip side suplex and pinned him. The status of the PWG championship (which Tornado won in a one night tournament after champion Low Ki suffered a knee injury in Japan) is not known at this time.

First Low-Ki gets hurt, and now Tornado... Is there a curse on the PWG belt?

I feel really bad for PWG, both champs went down this year. I don't know what they'll do with the title situation, maybe they'll parody it with all the wrestlers not wanting to be champ, that's something I could see. It also is bad news for the countless other feds Tornado's in too, and he's going to miss a couple of tours for Dragon Gate if they wanted him back. I just got into Tornado a couple of months ago, he has a great character.

That sucks. I heard he also recently confirmed to full time with ROH too, well when he returns.

Not sure who i'd put the belt on now, maybe davey richards???

I just went on the PWG site and I didnt know they had all those good superstars. I hope Austin Aries wins the title!!!

Davey hasn't been on the best terms with PWG as of late, so I can't see him getting the strap. I think they'll just do another tournament for belt.

^ A tournament that Austin Aries wins hopefully. I think it just said Austin aries was going to vs Human Tornado for the title but with Tornado getting injured they might just hand it to Aries...

I think that it'll be a PWG regular, not Aries, who pretty much is an ROH guy, and what he'll be known for. I just saw a Karl Anderson PWG match, and he's a pretty good big man wrestler. Scorpio Sky is pretty good too, but I'm unsure of what they could do with him.

And the PWG website really needs some improvement. There's no news updates, but at least it has a roster. Oh, and what happened to Chris Bosh, he was AWESOME?

^ I thought it was abit out dated...they could just have the title vacant if the injuries are only for a little bit otherwise I don't know lol.

Chris Bosh retired a while back. And I can't see Karl Anderson winning the title. He's been wrestling for NWA and I believe New Japan Pro Wrestling. Needless to say, he's got a busy schedule.

Just read it... Its a Torn ACL. Tornado is expected to be out for at least a year.

Yes an Anterior Cruciate injury tear is at least a year out, and in wrestling probably about 15 months. They have a new way to do surgery on it that has you recover in about six weeks, but it is experimental and costy, so I doubt Tornado could afford to or would go for it.

That does indeed suck for PWG man. Hope they can start to get injury free. Bad news for Tornado too. Always enjoyed watching him wrestle.
