Bad Blood 2024 set for October 5 in Atlanta

WWE is considering reviving the old Bad Blood PPV title, according to PW Insider.

The idea is to use the title in October to celebrate the anniversary of the first Hell In A Cell match, which took place on October 5, 1997, at the Badd Blood PPV between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. The plan includes featuring a Hell In A Cell match in the October PPV, which will be broadcast on Peacock, WWE Network, and other platforms.

Interestingly, October 5, 2024, falls on a Saturday, so WWE could hold the PPV exactly on the anniversary date if they choose.​

HHH loves this era of PPV names unsurprisingly as we've seen in NXT so I wouldn't be surprised. I'm actually not as big on some of the generic ones like "vengeance" and "no Mercy" but they're fine and I do really like Bad Blood for a show title, also the 03-04 one had cool sets with the blood droplets

Show titles mean nothing if all the sets are the same. They need to get back to themed sets again.

Good news, guys... we bring back Bad Blood as a PPV name. What? Oh yeah, we make it the October PPV instead of Hell in a Cell, but we'll still have a fixed Hell in a Cell Match scheduled for it, because we want to celebrate the anniversary of the match type we were shitting on for the last roundabout 15 years.

Come on... just don't talk about having a HiaC Match unless you have a storyline exactly at the right moment to announce it for that. ...and let me guess, they already know they wanna have two HiaC matches on that show, without even knowing yet who they'll put in it.

Im all for not naming a PLE "HIAC" just because the PLE has a HIAC match or two. So sure, why not use "Bad Blood" as "Bad Blood" could be related to multiple matches. I will say though, if they are doing this for nostalgia sake then the feud that the HIAC match happens for needs to have a proper build to that specific match and not just use the HIAC match because it's that time of year.

Bad Blood returning would be nice I'm not a fan of some of these newer names for PPVs lately to be honest. You gotta put effort into the Stages my God don't half ass please. Punk vs McIntyre in Hell in a Cell would be great too especially how good those two cook each other on the Mic.
