Dolph Ziggler’s World Heavyweight title win was not a result of WWE re-writing Monday’s episode of Raw according to PWInsider.

Multiple sources confirmed that the plan for several weeks was for Ziggler to cash in and win the WWE World title the day after WrestleMania. This was one of the reasons Ziggler had been losing so many matches, with the belief being it would create interest in those talents chasing him for the belt since “they can beat him.”

I think it was kinda poor of them to do that, but whatever. I expected that it was planned, since it had no relation to Rock or the WWE Championship picture at all.

1: Really, that was their plan all along? Somehow I remember this being the opposite of MANY dirtsheet reports. Noobs.

That second part just seems like complete crap as well... That doesn't make any sense. "Oh, Sheamus can beat the new champion, so yay, Sheamus can get the belt back!" No you twats, that means get behind Ziggler so he can OVERCOME THE ODDS and beat Sheamus. Ffs.

It doesn't surprise me that they went with this, because it was more unpredictable to cash in on the post-Mania raw than at Wrestlemania itself.

Definitely puts me more in a position to back DZ to overcome his losses than be behind the face beating an "easy" opponent. When will WWE realize people like underdogs and don't always want the biggest man to win?

Sounds pretty stupid, but if true, at least it's them sticking to long-term plans.

Either way I'm happy that Ziggler is the WHC. He's worked so hard and deserves the success he's having now. I wish it would have happened sooner but it was definitely exciting how it happened on Monday.
