Backstage News On Friday's WWE SmackDown Being "A Mess"

Friday's WWE SmackDown didn't advertise any matches until just before showtime and was considered "a mess," according to a report in F4WOnline's Daily Update.

Vince McMahon didn't arrive until about 12:30 pm, and nobody knew what was going on with the show, thus why matches were announced so late. The report noted most people were in the dark until McMahon showed up to the venue, but that's apparently been the case almost every week these days, and is considered "nothing new."

In a report from Ringside News, "a lot was changed, but less than usual." Some weeks it's been reported Vince had completely ripped up the script.

Some of the notable changes to last night's show included Roman Reigns' segments, and the finish to Daniel Bryan vs. Sami Zayn. It wasn't known what the original finish was going to be, but Zayn ended up winning by count-out.

Oh yeah because coming to the arena at 12:30 and having no script until the day of is great. The only reason WWE isn’t already fucked is because they’ve been on top so long that no one knows anything else. It will come back to bite them though if this keeps up.

Yeah obviously because of the wwe network. And they probably don’t have initiative because Vince tells them not to start until he gets there and/or tosses their shit after they write so what’s the point

If every time you write a script only to have your boss rip it up and rewrite it himself then yeah you’re not gonna wanna write it at all after a while. If Vince simply stopped trying to control everything and let his workers work we’d be fine. He should honestly just let Triple H have creative control and book the talent while he focuses on wwe as a brand.
