Backlash Predictions

Just as we go into Wrestlemania, how do you think the storylines will transition into Backlash this year?

I'll definitely change mine after the PPV, but quickly, it would be interesting to see how people expect the next PPV to plan out.


World Title- Matt Hardy vs John Cena- I see Matt beating Jeff at WM only to be screwed by him in this match. This furthers the feud between the Hardyz.

Edge vs Big Show- After Cena wins at WM, nobody has Vickie's love. Her lovers collide to finally win her heart.

HHH, Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon vs Legacy w/ Stephanie McMahon- After Steph turns on HHH, the face McMahons wage war on Legacy.

MVP vs Christian- Little feud over the briefcase here, nothing much.

Intercontinental Title- Rey Mysterio vs Shelton Benjamin- JBL retires with it at WM and it is vacated, this match being the climax of a tournament.


Then again, this could be way off, as we have a draft soon after Wrestlemania. How do you think things may play out for Backlash?

No way Matt Hardy is challenging for the World Championship. Why not just have John Cena wrestle some no-name random from FCW, it would probably be more entertaining actually.

With the draft coming up, I honestly have no idea how this is going to go. The only match I think we'll see is Big Show vs Edge

Someone between John Cena and Batista should be drafted to Smackdown and I much want to see Cena get drafted to continue their feud with Vickie Guerro's lovers. As for Matt, if he wins against Jeff, he should be drafted to Raw and maybe do some program with some Upper Midcard faces.

Yeh it's way too early to tell whats going to happen at Backlash. I gotta say Edge/Big Show will face off, over Vickie.

Atop of that match, ORton/HHH will be another match up on the card, regardless to the draft. Depending on how things go at Mania, we might have some sort of handicap match, or a manager present (whether a McMahon is heel or not...).

Other than that, it's way too difficult to tell. Hopefully some big inter-branded tag match, for the new Unified Tag Team Titles - Miz/Morrison V Primos V BK/Ezekial V ???

We're one day away from Wrestlemania so we can't do one about Backlash but in two weeks when we're two weeks from Backlash, we can make one about Judgment Day, you're logic amazes me.

I wonder about MVP and Christian. Nice fued, but you'll have to fresh faces, and if MVP wins MiTB you've got a clash of big stars there. Christian, still coming off a return to the E and MVP, newly crowned face and MiTB. I think there will be a MiTB backlash fued, but it'll have to involve a heel i think.

benjamin v rey would be nice! hell, id love to see a few other guys from mitb go after it as well!

lets hope big show/edge ends in vickie being ended as GM, and off WWE television for EVER!!!

Finally someone with a brain. To be honest backlash is normally 75% of rematches from Wm so i say hhh vs orton hell in a cell.

I personally think it's too early to predict anything for Backlash.

But if I would predict something from now, it would be a John Cena/ Edge/ Big Show and Vickie Guerrero feud.

Backlash will just be rematches of WrestleMania.
