Back When?

Back in about 1979 I took a little boy to see wrestlin
at a small school gym in Jessup GA.

Ric Flair was the 4 time Champion if I remember right.

When we pulling in the parking lot, Ric Flair was getting
out of his car.......His car was a little rusty, beat up, bald
tires, peeling paint, toyota....If It was on a car lot it wouldn't
have been worth $50...LOL.....

The superstars didn't ride in Limo's back then.

He got out of his car, wearing a robe, diamonds rings ect.....
but I'll never forget that ugly car..LOL.....

The show was great!....Had probably 100 people or so show
up for it.

Wrestlin has changed over the years.

It just shows how much wrestling has changed over the years.

For a good insight into how different wrestling was in the past I would recommend the Superstar Billy Graham's autobiography "Tangled Ropes" to anyone. I read it a few months ago. It shows how different the business was back then. He also goes into great detail about his infamous steroid abuse and the damage it did to him.

Not much different than what he looks like today,
just 30 years younger, and his hair was much longer.
