Last night he brought out Paul Heyman looking upset and gave Ryback a good stare down before going backstage. I think it's the set up to turn him as now Heyman is in love with Ryback. I'd normally be against this, but seeing as they've done NOTHING of interest with him since winning the IC title, ANYTHING is better than what he's been doing.

I don't see Axel being any more interesting as a face compared to him as a heel. I liked him when he ran his rough and tumble brawler heel on NXT, but this "I am the son of Mr. Perfect" gimmick has obviously not clicked.

Yeah, his NXT stuff could be better if worked with well. But sure, why not, I'm pretty sure he was working as a face at tons of house shows before becoming Axel. When does Kidd come back, btw? Would be pretty cool to see Axel vs Kidd for the IC title when he comes back.
