Aries is the man. The entire interview is worth reading, but I found a few quotes to be especially hilarious/interesting.
(ignore the last question of the interview, it's a bit dated, pre-lockdown)

Q. You have become the longest reigning X-Division champion in TNA history, what an achievement.
You're correct, reading the internet and Wikipedia is serving you well, but what it fails to mention is that I'm also the girthest X-Division champion in the history of TNA, not just the longest.

Q. What do you make of the current state of ROH?

I'll be really honest with you, the Ring of Honor today is not anything like the Ring of Honor that the likes of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and myself came from. Obviously they are still operating under the same name, but the company has changed so much over the years and it's really a shell of it's former self in terms of the vision and thought process. The original Ring of Honor and the Ring of Honor today are two completely different things, I like to call it Smokey Mountain of Honor.

He's right about ROH changing, but then again it had to if it wanted to grow. Either way another great A double interview, I like how he mixes some comedy in there.

"I don't really have any thoughts on the situation. There's lots of chefs in the kitchen, I'm given the recipe from those guys and I just go out there and cook up some greatness. I never really had many major issues with Vince Russo one way or the other and didn't really react with him a whole lot, but hopefully he is happy in what ever he is doing now and I know TNA will keep doing what we do.
"

I liked that metaphor.

Aries si over exeggerating, IMO. ROH is very different now, but not so much in a negative way. They're gone corporate now, and they're in a transition period now, booking wise especially. And there's a shitload of good things happening in ROH right now:

- Kevin Steen
- Jimmy Jacobs heel turn
- DemBoys are great characters and mega over
- Mike Bennett
- Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly in main event scene
- ROH vs. CHIKARA
- ROH Wrestling is the best show on TV
- new markets

Sure, there's a lot of negativities too (Davey, World Title booking, TV Title booking, Proving Ground, etc.), but things are far from being very bad.

I agree with most of your post, but his comment about it being Smokey Mountain of Honor was still hilarious. Hopefully Davey just gets the fuck out after he drops the belt to Steen next month. He is such a boring little bitch.
